YEBO! Introducing my Spirito di Savanna collection. Surface pattern designs for home and office decor, which celebrate the use of natural, sustainable materials. I am hugely inspired by traditional African clay surface patterns. We all know that Africans are brilliant and expressive in their decorating practices, whether it be home or fashion!
These diamond shapes remind you of the angular surfaces of crystals and gemstones? Working with the original images of African wall decorations I accentuated the texture of the clay to preserve some of their aesthetic charm. Do you like this vibrant leafy green dappled light?
Diamonds are forever
A simple trellis or diamond design, with an ethnic feel. Again I focused on the rough texture of the original clay plastered walls.
African ogee
A papery textured ogee pattern in natural mud ochre colours. I used the ochre mud plaster texture for the background, then added some energetic stripes. You can buy a piece for a picture, or cover your walls.
