Capri Lemons

Capri is a beautiful Italian island located in the Tyrrhenian Sea, off the Sorrentine Peninsula. Known for its old-world charm and stunning natural beauty, I couldn’t help fall in love with it. Wandering around the quaint villages you will notice the gardens are overflowing with flowers, lemon orchards and breathtaking vistas over the Mediterranean sea.

FYNBOS & PROTEA

Protea and fynbos of South Africa, repeating surface designs for fabric and wall coverings by Leanne Nowell

Fynbos is a vegetation type that is unique to the Cape Floristic Region of South Africa. It is characterized by a diverse array of small-leaved, woody shrubs and herbaceous plants, many of which are adapted to fire-prone environments. Fynbos is home to many endemic plant and animal species and is considered one of the world’s biodiversity hotspots.

Proteas are a type of flowering plant that are also native to South Africa, with many species found in the fynbos. They are known for their large, showy flowers that come in a variety of colors, including pink, red, orange, and yellow. Proteas are popular ornamental plants and are also used in the cut flower industry. They are the national flower of South Africa and are often associated with the country’s unique flora.
